My family wanted to move out of our apartment, but we weren't trying too hard in our home search. I felt too busy to do much of anything other than look at photos on the web and dream of what I couldn't afford. One day I was browsing through home listings online and saw a home that looked interesting.
I took the laziest route possible and shot an email off to the website expressing interest in the home. Ten seconds after my email was sent, the phone rang. It was Dorae replying to my inquiry. Next thing I knew, she was on her way over to meet us and show us the home. That responsiveness defined the rest of our relationship with Dorae.
She was always prepared, available, and able to respond because she was always connected whether by computer, PDA, or cell phone. Dorae followed up on every detail of our home purchase. And added to all that, she was fun to be around. High energy, cheerful, and just nice.
Even after the sale was final, and we had moved in, Dorae checked on us to make sure everything was okay. The only thing we lacked was the code to open our garage door, and somehow Dorae was able to get that for us. I'll track her down wherever I am when it's time to buy or sell in the future.
